GATE 2015 Exam Paper Patterns Syllabus

Question Paper Pattern

1. GATE 2015 will be held for 22 papers as listed below in the table.
2. Syllabus for each paper in GATE 2015 is different. 
3. Candidates can apply for one paper only and therefore are advised to choose a paper corresponding to the discipline of the qualifying degree.
4. There will be two types of questions in all GATE 2015 Papers – multiple choice and numerical type
5. There will be 65 questions carrying 100 marks
6. Out of 65 questions 10 questions are for General Aptitude carrying 15 marks
7. Engineering Mathematics will carry 13 marks
8. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ): Student have to choose an answer from multiple choices. Remember there will negative marking for wrong answers for this type of questions.
9. Numerical Questions: Students have to enter the numerical answers in the text area given using a virtual keyboard. Remember there is no negative marking for this type of questions.

GATE 2015 General Aptitude Questions:
Apart from the core subject questions, all papers will contain a few questions that test the General Aptitude (Language and Analytical Skills of the candidates.

GATE 2015 online examination for papers : GATE 2015 examinations will be held during forenoon and afternoon on alternate weekends (Saturday and Sunday) between 1st February 2015 and 2nd March 2015 

I don’t feel there are too many changes in GATE 2015 pattern except being done on computers. For more details on GATE preparations and updates do refer to GATE 2015 Preparation Guide.
