IES 2014 Important Dates for IES examinations 2014. 

IES-ESE-ES 2014 Notification: 22th March 2014
Last Date For Receipt of IES 2014 Applications: 21th April 2014
IES 2014 Exam DATE: 20th June 2014( 3 Days exam)
  1. After making payment online or offline candidates must revisit the website.
  1. Upload the scanned Photograph and Signature at the places provided and Submit the Application.
  1. Take print out of Online Application and retain it for further use.

  • At the time of selection – assistant executive engineer
  • After 3–4 years of service (including probation period) – executive engineer.
  • After 11 years of service – executive engineer selection grade
  • After 15 years of service– chief engineer level-2
  • After 25 years of service – chief engineer level-1
  • After 28 years of service – eligible for selection to the post of engineer-in-chief
  • After 32 years of service – board member as in case of railway.
The written exam comprises of 2 sections. Section I consists of only objective type questions and section II comprises conventional papers. Both the papers will cover entire syllabus of the relevant engineering disciplines.

Instructions for Online Application:1. Candidates must visit www.upsconline.nic.in website and click on Online application for Various Examinations of UPSC link.
Qualification Criteria for IES
Candidates must have Engineering degree ( BE/Btech) from a recognized university or equivalent. Those students appearing for final semester exam are also allowed to appear for this subjected to them submitting the degree certificates at the time of recruitment. Candidates who have qualified MSc degree or equivalent in areas like Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering can also apply for IES exam. Applicants should be of age group 21 to 30.

Selection process: Written + Interview
Note: Any Engineering graduates can apply for IES-ESE (Indian Engineering Services examination)
